Japan grants Rs.17million for five NGOsThe embassy of Japan signed grant agreements of Rs17.3 million with five Pakistani NGOs, for basic health, primary education, vocational training and skill development projects. The agreements, signed by Sadaaki Numata, Japanese ambassador to Pakistan, and representatives of NGOs, under the Grassroots Assistance (GRA) Programme, are a part of Official Development Assistance (ODA) of the Japanese government to Islamabad. The NGOs are, Abbottonians Medical Association, Attock Education Trust, Development Committee, Muza Jeere, Sheikhupura, Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation, Karachi and Saint Raphael's Hospital, Faisalabad. The Abbottonians Medical Association would provide mobile health care and laboratory facilities in Abbottabad and the adjoining rural areas.
AMA through official Development program of Govt. of Japan, has managed to eastablish a well-Equiped Clinical Labortory with such facilities and equipment that is not available elsewere in Hazara Division. These includes ELISA Machine, Hematology Analyzer, Spectrophotometer and Blood Bank.
With Official Assistance Program of Govt. of Japan, AMA has acquired a 28 seater Hino Pak Coaster with facilities of Blood Donation, A-V Equipment and shifting of patients / victims in emergency situations. This unit is being utilized for many out reach healthcare activities of AMA like Free Medical Camps, Blood Camps, Vaccinations Camps, Polio Days and AMA Health Education Program |
