REPORT OF AMA BLOOD CAMP HELD ON 11TH DECEMBER 1996 AT
THE GOVT. GIRLS COLLEGE NO. II, SUPPLY, ABBOTTABAD
Abbottonians Medical Association® [AMA] organized a Blood Camp at the Govt. Girls Degree College No. II Supply, Abbottabad on Wednesday the 11th December 1996.
Principal Govt. Girls Degree College, Miss Saeeda Shaheen along with her staff, was very kind to make excellent arrangements at the college.
The following participated in the Camp: -
Dr. Abdul Aziz Awan, Chairman AMA, Mr. Nazir Ahmed, Ex-Preseident AOBA, Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Chief Organizer AMA, Dr. Ahmed Badar, Dr. Naeema Afzal, Dr. Ruhila Hanif, Dr. Rubina Swati, Mr. Syed Akbar Zulquernain, Mr. Shams and Mr. Arshad from Ayub Medical College.
Te camp started at 10.40am. Free Blood Grouping of 50 students of third and fourth year was donor along with some of the staff members. The result of the blood grouping is as under: -

All the voluntary blood donors will be issued AMA’s Blood Donors membership Cards soon and their names will be enrolled in AMA’s Blood Donors Directory. These students will be given “Certificate of Appreciation” in a ceremony which is scheduled to be held in the last week of December 1996. About 20 students were registered for blood donation in future.
The aim of this Blood Camp was to create awareness amongst the young generation for voluntary blood donation. The blood which was collected at the camp will be donated to the deserving Thalassaemic children, who need blood at a very regular interval. So far over 40 such unfortunate children are registered with AMA and they are being provided blood free of any cost.
The Chairman AMA Dr. Abdul Aziz Awan on behalf of all the members of AMA thanks the Principal, Staff and Students of Govt. Girls Degree College No. II for their full cooperation in making this Blood Camp a real success and hope that they will assist in future endeavors pf AMA as well
