REPORT OF AMA's BLOOD CAMP ON 8th MAY 1999 AT

THE GOVT. GIRLS DEGREE COLLEGE, MANSEHRA

Abbottonians Medical Association®  [AMA] organized a Blood Camp on Saturday 8th May, 1999 at the Govt. Girls Degree College , Mansehra.  Purpose of this Blood Camp was to collect blood for the Thalassaemic patients, registered with AMA®. The camp was specifically held on 8th May which is celebrated as International Thalassaemia Day. 20 bags of blood were collected through this camp. The details of which is as under:

 Blood Grouping of about 50 staff members & students was also performed and their blood was taken for screening of Thalassaemia Trait. Hemoglobin estimation was also done in suspected anaemia cases.

 Dr. Abdul Aziz Awan, Chairman AMA® and Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Secretary General AMA® would like to thank Principal, Govt. Girls Degree College  Mansehra for her all out support in holding this Blood Camp. AMA® is also grateful to all the staff members of College for making excellent arrangements for this camp. Our special thanks to all the Blood Donors for donating their precious blood to AMA® for the Thalassaemic patients.
