  2. Project of “Pedigree Analysis of Thalassaemia”; a joint venture of AMA®,  PMRC & Ayub Medical College July 1998. Over 1600 Blood screening tests for Thalassaemia Trait done.

  3. Seminar on AIDS at Frontier Medical College organized jointly by AMA, Free Legal & Medical Aid Trust & UNAIDS, on 5th October 1998.

  4. AMA’s Hepatitis & AIDS Awareness Programme in Collaboration with World Bank & Family Health Project July 1999 at Balakot and Thandiani.

  5. Seminar on HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis on 9th September 1999 at Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, with Collaboration with AMC, Family Health Project & the World Bank.

  7. 50. Three Days Workshop of “Training of Tutors” from participants from Thandiani and   Balakot, from 11th - 13th September 1999 at Family Health Project office.

  10. National Strategic Workshop on HIV/AIDS at Bhurban, 16th–19th May 2000. Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Secretary General AMA® represented the Association at this Workshop.

  11. NGOs Consortium Workshop, 3rd & 4th July 2000 at Peshawar, AMA® was one of the participants from the NGOs working against HIV/AIDS in NWFP. Secretary General AMA® was elected as Divisional Coordinator for Hazara.

  12. WHO/NIH/Ministry of Health Workshop on Blood Donor Motivation, 25th – 26th August 2000, Divisional Health Development Center, Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad

  13. Meeting of the Coordinators of NWFP AIDS Consortium [NAC], 30th September 2000. Secretary General AMA attended the meeting as Coordinator of Hazara Division.

  14. NWFP AIDS Consortium Workshop, 9th -10th November 2000. Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Secretary General AMA delivered a lecture on AIDS for participants from all over NWFP.

  15.  “Workshop on HIV/AIDS” at the World AIDS Day 2000, on 26th Nov. 2000, for the teachers of various Educational Institutions of Abbottabad, with the collaboration of UNAIDS.

  16. Workshop to Pre- Test Guidelines of HIV Antibody Testing, Islamabad, 3rd - 4th December 2000, UNAIDS Pakistan and National AIDS Control Programme, Islamabad. Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Secretary General AMA attended this Workshop.

  17. World T.B Day 24th March 2001, AMA® was one of the organizers of this event, held in Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad.

  18. Workshop on Waste Management / Biomedical Waste, organized by IUCN, District Council, Abbottabad, AMA was one of the participants, 4th May 2001.

  19. Lecture by Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, Secretary General AMA® on HIV/AIDS at a local Homeopathic Medical College, 3rd June 2001

  24. Presentation of a research Paper on the Themes of World AIDS Days by Dr. Noaman Siddiqui, at the 6th International Congress on AIDS for Asia and the Pacific, 5th October 2001, Melbourne, Australia.

  25. Workshop on HIV/AIDS for the Media personnel, including the press as well as Radio Pakistan at the World AIDS Day 2001, on 1st December 2001, with the collaboration of UNAIDS, Unicef and the National & NWFP AIDS Control Program.

AMA MISCELLANEOUS CAMPS

  • AMA’s Flood Relief Camp Jabori, District Mansehra, Friday 16th October 1992. Food items, bedding, clothes & cash distributed amongst victims of the Flood at Jabori & Sum.

  • AMA's six days Eye Camp at Balakot, From 1st to 6th August 1998. Over 2000 patients were examined and over 100 Eye surgeries were performed including 50 intra-occular lenses. 

  • AMA's 1st Diabetic Camp at Oghi, Dist. Mansehra on 9th October 1998. No. of Patients 500.

  • AMA® Vaccination Camps at Abbottabad Prep School on 9th November and 9th December 2001

  • AMA's Scholarship for deserving Medical Student of Ayub Medical College, with the collaboration of Abbottonians Old Boys Association, Karachi Chapter.

  • AMA’s Annual General Body Meeting, 31st July at Ayub Medical College Abbottabad.

  • Establishment of Hepatitis B Vaccination Center at AMA office Abbottabad July 1999.

  • AMA’s 1st Cataract Eye Surgery at AMA Eye Center by Dr. Aziz Awan, Chairman AMA on 26th August 1999, dedicated to Mr. Khurshid [Late], Ex Chief organizer AMA died in Dubai

  • AMA’s stall at AOBA, AGM. Speech by Miss Asma Sarfarz, a Thalassemic patient. The Chief Guest was Lt. Gen Retd. Moin ud Din Haider Federal Interior Minister. Mr. Omar Asghar Khan, Federal Minister for Local Govt. Environment also attended the meeting.

  • Live Charity Show, Junoon & Najam Shiraj, 10th September 2000 at Army P.T School. One the biggest Charity Shows for the Thalasseamic patients witnessed by over 4000 people.
